QWERT Poetry Fundraiser and Open Mic
This will be a super fun and engaging event where you must come through the doors dressed as a poet* (see IG for suggestions) and you will be able to add your unique work to 7 typewriters around the room. Get a chance to sign up for the open mic, and don't miss the typewriter art pages for sale.

About the event
I am grateful to Benedicto Figueroa for offering the time and space at Lackawanna to host this event, and Aurelia (Golden Light Poetry) for sponsering the fundraiser with her sound system! Thanks go out to Sebastian LaBarbera for aiding with the typewriters during the event.
The objective of this fundraiser is to raise funds toward QWERT Poetry's vital promotional materials in order to build a larger following for special events involving typewriter poetry. QWERT Poetry aims to increase opportunities for poetry to impact our everyday lives and offer personalized, meaningful gifts to the community.
Minute by minute:
6pm-7pm - typewriter scroll prompts
7pm-7:30pm - open mic sign-ups
7:30pm-9pm - open mic and announcements
The reading of one selected scroll will take place during the open mic!
Pierce will give a short typewriter poetry performance, performing the first 'Typewriter Written Portrait'.
9pm - wrap up, socializing, thanks
